Myra Brown
CEO
Myra Brown is the CEO of NWON Opportunities with headquarters in Center City Philadelphia. Throughout her long and honored career, Myra has been an advocate for the disenfranchised. She has held positions as Director of the Philadelphia branch of CareersUSA; Regional Business Services Director for PA Careerlink; Deputy Executive Director of a local Human Services agency; and Director of Human Resources and Diversity for the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
Ms. Brown has served as consultant to local businesses using her expertise in Operations Management, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Workforce Development and Employment Training. She is known as a leader in research and training on cultural competency and diversity and inclusion.
Ms. Brown has a certification in Professional Human Resources and is a graduate with several degrees from Temple University. She has been an instrumental member of the Boards of Directors for Girls Rock Philly, The Aids Law Project of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia International Airport Capacity Enhancement Project.
In 2017 Myra received a citation from the City of Philadelphia as a Woman on the Move for her efforts in Workforce Development and Employment throughout Philadelphia. Myra was honored by her alma mater, Temple University’s Fox School of Business as the 2016 Internship Provider of the Year.
Christina Wilson
Operations Manager
Christina Wilson joins NWON Opportunities as Administrative Coordinator. Christina is a power recruiter and workforce development professional with three years of management and customer service experience in telecommunications.
A graduate of Neumann University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Christina's passion is working with the returning citizens of Philadelphia. She completed her senior internship with the Mayor's Office of Reintegration Services (RISE) and worked with individuals in the prison system providing life skills and supportive services. Christina is excited to work with the NWON team to connect the community to long term employment.
In March 2019 Christina received a citation as Woman on the Move from the City of Philadelphia for efforts in re-entry workforce development and placement.
Lynwood Patrick
Special Projects Director
Lynwood Patrick joins NWON Opportunities as a Consultant, lending his expertise in a variety of capacities that include but not limited to: recruiting, web development, information technology, financial and new business analysis.

Lynwood is a seasoned business professional with over 20 years of Accounting, Analysis, Business Intelligence, Compliance and Management experience in both the private and public sector.

As the Director of Program Monitoring and Fiscal Review for the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services, he oversaw the Investigation's Division which was responsible for the Fiscal and Programmatic Review of all programs administered by the Department. Such programs included but not limited to: The CT Medicaid Program (annual budget of $740 billion), Care 4 Kids ($90 million), SNAP Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program ($62 million), TANF Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (annual budget of $20 million) and Energy Assistance ($10 million).
Joane Dang
Recruiter & Credentialing Coordinator
Joane Dang joins NWON Opportunities as a Recruiter & Credentialing Coordinator. She is a recent graduate in Human Resource Management at the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
After switching from an intern to part-time employment, she verifies and updates all personnel data including but not limited to educational background, drug test, industry-related credentials. She also handles office administration and lifecycle recruitment. She is conversational in Chinese (Mandarin) and Chinese (Cantonese), and Korean.
Sarah McCabe
Database Coordinator
Sarah joins NWON Opportunities as the Database coordinator. She oversees the implementation of the client and consumer management system to help move the company towards a paperless environment and increase efficiency on a daily basis.
Sarah is currently a senior at Temple University majoring in Human Resource Management and will graduate in May 2020. She enjoys the challenge of taking on such a big project and the ever changing priorities at NWON.
Annamalai Perikaruppan
IT Volunteer
Annamalai Perikaruppan is a recent graduate with a Masters degree in 'Quantitative Finance & Risk Management' from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He volunteers at NWON Opportunities, helping with IT, website and design related work.
